Wow, I think I sounded like a pompous ASS!

That was in 2007. I was doing the same work I am now, what I see as my gift, Refining. What was I refining? Well, I thought I was running around turning people into millionaires, and in the process delivering myself to financial freedom.

Truth is, just like now, I had SO much to learn, and a vision of such power that it moved me to utter profundities that I couldn’t back up in reality. I built a few sites for people, maybe more then a few, but all of them were more or less web business cards and didn’t generate much beyond more business for my clients. Sure thats a good thing, but I was going for something bigger, I wanted my clients to become wealthy with my work.

See, I thought I had the magic formula: keywords + google ads + TRUE passion (in the form of good content) = BILLIONS of $$$$

I was only 80% correct. This is a big statement now, but it comes from a much more humble place:

If the 80/20 rule is right, then the 80% I hit the nail on was the True Passion piece. Way back about 6 years ago in 2003 I had a huge realization. I was watching the world change with the internet, had first found WordPress, and decided that anyone could profit off of the things they loved. They could do this by leveraging personal publishing. I was elated, I was moved. I believed I could change everyone’s lives with this concept and decided right away I would do so. I began to learn WordPress, I began to learn more about the internet, then I got a 9-5 job that was really 7-7 and promptly used up all my energy paying bills. I then began a long circuitous route that led me to Montclair, NJ, to a job as a tech director for a small private school and ultimately to the final realization that I had abandoned the moment, and my realization and inspiration had been sacrificed to security.

This was terrible for me. In my early twenties I began reading Robert Kiyosaki and endeavored to live a life of courageous personal adventure, to never let myself sink into security and to brave the difficulties of my status (essentially povery stricken) and persevere. But, a couple of poor business choices, an overall lack of knowledge of self and hatred of being poor led me on a long road toward security, which I was successful at finding.

When you have a vision though, it doesn’t go away. It stays in your heart, your mind, your soul, and like a damn straining to burst, it will bring stress to it’s walls until they begin to crack. To my everlasting joy, it has cracked and led me to realize that I have never NOT been doing my work, that I have ALWAYS been doing it, and that I never have to worry about it.

I provide the same work for people that I do for myself: I refine concepts and develop the great indefinable passions into usable function.

WHOA! Big statement! Maybe better said like this: I make it easier to do what you love.

I do this for myself everyday, it’s all I do, and I do it with everyone I meet. I don’t do it because I want to, just because that’s all I can do. Truthfully, NOTHING makes me happier.

So that’s what I’m about. Whether it’s a conversation about what someone loves, desires, cares about, wants, needs, feels or can’t live without, I have always been my happiest seeing people discover the gifts of their soul, their dna, their offerings to themselves and the world.

I do it all the time with the people I come into contact in my world, it just happens, I have NEVER intended it, but I know now, it’s just what I do.

I think the most exciting thing for me about the time we are living in, is that there are ways for people to do this like NEVER before. My old “about” speech above, is pretty right on in this regard. I stand by those aspects of it, the only change is the tone, and the HOW.

No More Market-speak, No More Business-speak, no More appearing bigger then I am.

It’s just me, Todd. I work with everyone I know to do what I do, but if you work with me, it’s just me you get. Me, and everything I can muster to pay attention, to refine, and bring the concepts and ideas from the ether, the cloud, the energies surrounding us into reality.

I am learning to do this better everyday, I am meeting more people to help me all the time, and I am discovering new ways all the time.

I’m sharing this with the world because there is no other way for me to live. I hope you like the stuff I find
