Just saw Gary at his book signing at Watchung Bookseller’s in Montclair, NJ. I’ve watched his keynotes (INCREDIBLE), follow him on twitter, catch a winelibrary.tv episode once in a while and generally am a fan. I read Crush IT! and while I think its important reference material, his visual stuff is where I am really inspired. So when I heard he was coming to the little Montclair(my hometown) bookshop, I was excited to see how he would feel in person. Boy was I blown away. You could tell he walked in a little worn, he had just come off a plane from Chicago, but within a few minutes of talking his energy fired up and before you knew it his positive message was infecting everyone.

He gave us a solid hour of his time, then answered some questions. When it came time to get my book signed he made an honest effort to have a personal connection with me, even remembering my business partner Billy Penn, @300guitars on Twitter. When I left I could see that everyone was brimming with energy, excited to Crush It!. Sure, there were some folks reeling from his message, maybe a little concerned, others just trying to take it all in, but everyone went home with something to think about.

Fantastic signing Gary! Thanks for the positive message!
